Ex-Misfits guitarist, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is rumored to be hard at work writing new songs for his newest project Gorgeous Frankenstein with his bassist/singer Argyle Goolsby (Blitzkid). The two horror punk veterans have one previous release, the self titled LP that came out in 2007 on Glenn Danzig’s Evilive Records.

Doyle’s wife, Gorgeous George of WCW fame, was the main influence in the naming of the band, and the first couple songs were initially written just for her to dance to. It was also George that initiated the meeting with her husband and his old band mate Danzig, who produced their first album and shot the videos for the band.

Combining Danzig’s influence, Doyle’s crushing guitar riffs infused with his fiendish B-movie horror themed lyrics, Gorgeous Frankenstein may become exactly what the Misfits would sound like today if they stuck together. Maybe…
