Originating from the town of Corby, UK in 2002, the very under-promoted band Viking Skull formed with only one intention…getting free beer for playing shows. With an 80’s early 90’s style rock and roll/metal sound to them, they have been influenced by bands such as Sabbath, Maiden, Motorhead and Wasp,  but seem to have more fun, on stage and with their lyrics.

Not taking themselves too seriously, and it’s members coming  from the band “Raging Speedhorn”, these guys were no amateurs when they released their first 6 song CD “Chapter 1″ in 2003. The band kept drinking and releasing albums despite some lineup changes which now include Jess Margera (CKY, Bam Margera’s brother) on drums. It seems strange to me, with all of Bam’s influence over today’s very impressionable younger generation, that I don’t see Viking Skull tattoos and tramp stamps yet like the heartagram. Which was created by Bam’s favorite band “HIM”, and now can be found inked on the mindless masses from NY to Cali.
